Teen charged with hit and run that sent cyclist to hospital: Regina Police – Regina
A 17-year-old boy is going through hit and run prices after a collision on Tuesday morning that despatched a male bicycle owner to hospital with severe accidents.
Regina police say the collision occurred at 6:20 a.m. on the intersection of Dewdney Avenue East and Fleury Road.
Preliminary investigation indicated a pink Dodge Caravan hit the bicycle owner, who was heading westbound on the intersection.
Police allege the motive force of the van then fled the scene, persevering with west on Dewdney.
On Wednesday, officers arrested the teenager. He’s charged with failing to stay on the scene of a collision inflicting bodily hurt and is scheduled to make his first court docket look on this cost on Dec. 6 in Youth Courtroom.
The teenager can’t be named publicly in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Prison Justice Act.
The 35-year-old bicycle owner remains to be in hospital.
