Switch version of Tetris Effect: Connected received another update earlier this month. This latest patch upgrades the game to Version 1.3.
The official support page has now shared the full details – revealing some changes for all platforms. It also knows about certain exploits tied to the system clock on the Switch. Here are the full details:
TETRIS EFFECT: CONNECTED PATCH 1.3.3
[ALL] Added SR Disconnection Penalty status for players with unusually high disconnection rate in Rated MATCH. We’ll keep an eye on how this helps keep the bad guys out and make adjustments as needed.
[ALL] Adjusted the matchmaking system so that players can’t leave the lobby in most competitive RANKED MATCH modes – REGIONAL BATTLE, NUMBER ASSIST, and CLASSIC SCOPE ATTACK – once the opponent arrive. Instead, the player is automatically “ready” -ed and the countdown to the match begins. CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS modes as well as all modes in FRIEND MATCH and LOCAL MATCH will work as before.
[ALL] Spectators can now leave during FRIENDSHIP MATCH.
[ALL] Changed the alternate CPU player’s level when the player disconnects in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. regime. (Previously, players were replaced with CPUs of the same level (1-10) as their Tier (1-10.) Now, players anywhere in Tiers 1 to 5 will be replaced with Tier CPUs. 5.
[ALL] Changed display name to “CPU” when a player is replaced by AI in CONNECTED and CONNECTED VS. regime.
[ALL] Added WINNING and WINNING RATE of Full Moon event to MY PROFILE > STATISTICS: MULTIPLAYER (RATED MATCH). (Displays alternately between Normal and Full Moon WIN and WIN RATE every five seconds.)
[ALL] The game now retains any player-adjusted camera positions for each of the different MULTIPLAYER modes.
[ALL] Fixed an issue where GAME OVER would appear when all blocks switched to Dark Blocks in PURIFY mode.
Other minor tweaks and bug fixes.
[SWITCH] Changing the Nintendo Switch system clock to a future time and posting scores in online multiplayer and then resetting that clock may prevent your scores from updating in online multiplayer. Please do not change the system clock when playing online multiplayer.
