Texas woman dies in downtown Nashville scooter accident | News



NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – A lady from Tyler, Texas, died in downtown Nashville Sunday night time when Metro Police mentioned she collided with a semi whereas using a Lime scooter.

Metro Police mentioned 54-year-old Melinda Lovelady was using a Lime scooter within the northbound lane of third Avenue South close to Symphony Place round 7:30 p.m. Lovelady collided with the rear tires of a shifting semi-tractor after police mentioned she swerved within the roadway and crossed into the southbound lane of third Avenue South.

Police mentioned Lovelady was pronounced lifeless on the scene. Police mentioned nobody else reported being injured within the crash.

Through the preliminary investigation, police mentioned there have been no indications of alcohol involvement. Nonetheless, the medical expert’s workplace will conduct toxicology testing.

Investigators impounded the scooter to “be additional examined” for the investigation.
