Chris Paul and Phoenix Suns are having a strong series of Western Conference semi-finals starting with Dallas Maverickswins Games 1 and 2. The Suns have two more wins to secure a spot in the Western Conference finals.
The team maintained momentum after the end of NBA-best 64-18. This is the third time in the franchise’s history that it has the best track record in the league. They did so in 1992-93 and 2004-05, scoring 62-20 each time.
The Suns continue to deliver great performances, show their bravery and aim to become champions.
In an interview with Nick Wright, famed, Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne shared his thoughts on Phoenix guard Chris Paul. He said he’s been a fan from Paul’s days with the New Orleans Hornets (now the Pelicans).
“I was a CP fan at first, because, you know, he started in New Orleans, and I had season tickets. He and I became brothers,” said Wayne. “He’s one of the greatest people on the planet, forget basketball. He’s going to bend over backwards for you. Just plain and simple. He’s a great man. great. I’ll always be a fan no matter where he goes.”
“He FaceTiming me after the game, after the win. CP didn’t do it, he didn’t FaceTiming me after no win, they (Suns list) made him do it.”
Chris Paul and Lil Wayne have maintained a close friendship
With most basketball players wanting to be rappers and most rappers wanting to be footballers, great friendships have been forged between people from both fields. A clear example is what exists between the protector of the Phoenix Suns, Chris Paul, and Lil Wayne, one of the best rappers in the world.
The two celebs have been friends for a while and formed a brotherhood, with Wayne attending CP3 games and cheering him on while flirting. Their friendship began more than 17 years ago at the 2005 Finals in St. Louis and has grown stronger ever since.
