I should probably start by making it clear: Even before COVID, 50% of my work required unboxing, testing, evaluating, and retesting beauty products. This is not a luxury I take lightly, and while it may seem like a trivial task, me and my fellow beauty editors take great pride in our ability to test and provide feedback. our attentive feedback. (We literally get hundreds of packages a month, so you can understand how important this is to our work!) Some of this feedback is just between three people. us on Slack, some of the feedback goes to a brand’s PR team or even its CEO, and a lot of the time, it comes directly to you!
With so many swipes and swipes below my waist, it took me a long time to make an impression, and I’ve admitted on multiple occasions that I’ve felt a bit bewildered by the beauty industry’s pervasive mirror and mirror products. So when a product really knocks me all out, it feels like a really big deal and I can’t wait to share every detail.
