Until recently, I never considered myself a sneaker lover. If given the chance, I would choose boots or heels for my everyday wear, what I’m wearing to the office, and almost whenever I’m out of the house. However, over the past few years, I have introduced more and more sneakers into my wardrobe.
In part, this stems from the fact that I frequently work from home, where my everyday look has become more casual than before. I also attribute it to all the sneakers I’ve been inspired to wear as streetwear brands have made an even bigger impact on fashion. Where in point? Aimé Leon Dore, whose pre-responsive ’90s street fashion aesthetic has influenced everything from the sweatpants I’m wearing to the sneakers I’m styling with them.
