The best games for All-Star Week, February 13
When: Sun, Feb. 19, 8:00 p.m. EST
Where to watch: TNT
Yes, a lot of stars will not be healthy enough to compete. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Zion Williamson will not be on the floor. An eccentric, but great talent will take their place.
De’Aaron Fox will be in his first all-star match as will Anthony Edwards. For those who don’t have a League Pass and who don’t reside in one of their metropolitan areas, believe me, they’ll be showing on Sunday.
The NBA has made many unnecessary changes to this game. While those changes have paid off, they haven’t revolutionized NBA All-Star Weekend. Whether Sunday’s game is east and west or the top-voters pick their teammates as if they were in the schoolyard, the draw-game feeling remains.
And that’s what makes this weekend the greatest all-star weekend on the sports calendar. It’s a time when fans get to see the best in a sport perform to their full potential beyond their contractual obligations to a team.
