The best tech deals on Black Friday 2022 • TechCrunch

You blink and it, inexplicably, almost Black Friday again.

Should you buy a lot just because it’s on sale? Sure is not! Can you use it as an opportunity to save some money on things you already want? Sure.

We don’t aim to be comprehensive with our Black Friday tech brief. Instead, we’re just trying to highlight some of the deals on gadgets and devices we recommend even at full price.

Before we start trading, we always want to start with a few tips:

  • If you’re shopping on Amazon, use a historical price tracker like camel camel to determine if the drop is really a drop or if the price just temporarily increased yesterday to make today’s drop.
  • Make sure you’re actually buying what you think you’re buying. Retailers love to sneak last year’s model into the sales mix to free up inventory. Now, last year’s model could be great! Just know what you are getting.
  • On a similar note: for things like TVs, it’s not uncommon to see older consoles repackaged with new model numbers. If that model of TV didn’t exist a few months ago and is somehow being heavily discounted, be curious.
