The new block meme recently popped up on Twitter, with people weighing in and participating in the card. Born from a game on Tiktok, They are 10 but means a funny joke in which you point out a flaw about another perfect person. Of course, all in good faith – none of them are real!
Gaming giant EA decided to get in on the joke in a way that ruffled many, VGC report. The developer shared his joke early this morning, and it was quickly deprecated.
At one time, you may remember that former EA Games President Frank Gibeau said, “I don’t greenlight a game developed as a single-player experience. Today, all of our games are. Both include online apps and digital services that keep them running 24/7/365.” And in 2017, EA’s chief financial officer suggested that many people don’t like linear games” as much today as they did five years ago.”
Today, Electronic Arts is doing a little better on that front with the success of Jedi: Order of Fall along with the upcoming sequel, Dead space redo and new Dragon age Title. But yesterday’s tweet brought a lot of emotions to everyone, including the developers who have worked with EA in the past.
A former producer at EA and Visceral Games – the man behind the original Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno – Zach Mumbach, was unhappy with the company’s tweet, calling for them to close his studio and fire “~100 developers” great development”
It’s not just former developers who are commenting on poorly worded jokes. Head of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella, the studio behind Apex LegendsJedi: Fallen Order, and more recently Medal of Honor game, gave a very brief response.

Twitch streamer and YouTuber The Act Man also took the time to remind EA of an upcoming game it’s releasing, which is a single-player experience.
However, EA has since hit back at the joke after being criticized and derided by many online.
We understand that it’s not easy to run a social media account, however, this is a bit of an oversight considering EA’s history and the comments previous staff members have made regarding the single player experience and Multiplayer.
