The Gallery, a “part hostage horror, part social drama” game, choose your own destiny, set in both 1981 and 2021, when an art curator is kidnapped as a child. believed by a portraitist who wanted to paint them – and threatened to detonate a bomb if they were interrupted in any way.
The cast of The Gallery includes some names and faces you may know:
George Blagden (Versailles and Vikings)
Anna Popplewell (Chronicles narnia)
Kara Tointon (Mr. Selfridge and Installer)
Rebecca Root (Queen’s Gambit)
Richard Fleeshman (Sand sellers and Opening the street)
Shannon Tarbet (New Year’s Eve Killing and Love Sarah)
Fehinti Balogun (I can destroy you)
The game will also be released simultaneously across UK cinemas, where audiences will be able to vote by majority (with glow sticks, by the looks of things) to decide which option is also available. as on streaming and digital platforms. There will be a linear version with the selections removed for viewing on TV.
The library appears to be the “first in a series” of FMV games – aka “interactive” – that Aviary Studios intends to make. The director, Paul Raschid, has also written and directed several other FMV games, such as Deathtrap Dungeon and The complexity, both are on Switch, and the former is coming this year.
