The Grizzlies played ‘Whoop That Trick’ while taking a breather… and Draymond Green and Stephen Curry loved it

The Golden Empire Warriors entered game 5 of the Western Conference semi-final with a score of 3-1, with a chance to finish Memphis Grizzlies‘playoff run.

Before the potential series closer, Stephen the curry gave Kendra Andrews some insight into the psychology of the Golden State, saying:

“Trick that! That’s our game plan.”

“Whoop That Trick” is a song by Memphis-born rapper Al Kapone. It was also performed by Terrence Howard in the movie “Hustle & Flow.” Since then, it has become the unofficial anthem of the Grizzlies played in the FedExForum during the final moments.

Unfortunately for Curry & Co., the game didn’t go as planned. Grizzlies give a 134-95 dam to avoid discharge.

Memphis consistently excelled, scoring 77 points in the first half, the second most in an all-time playoff of any team facing elimination, while the Warriors picked up 50 points.

The home team also did not slow down in the second half. They have a 55-point lead – the second-biggest lead at any point in the playoffs in the past 25 years.

The Grizzlies’ 39 points are the largest of any team after this season.

At the end of the fourth half, the home audience rejoiced when the song resounded throughout the arena. Despite the deficit, Curry and Draymond Green appeared to enjoy the hymn.
