The IAF holds thematic workshop for the 1st Aviation & War Strategy Program

The Indian Air Force, on Friday, 24 June, conducted a seminar at the Air Force Hall in New Delhi, marking the culmination of the first Air & Warfare Strategy Program (WASP). . The seminar was conducted under the auspices of the College of Aviation Warfare and the Center for Aviation Energy Research. Air Force Chief of Staff VR Chaudhari delivered a keynote speech on this occasion attended by senior officers from all three services, air power scholars, academics from consulting agencies main and top colleges of the country.
In his speech, VR Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari listed that the purpose of WASP is to create strategic thinking and understanding among IAF officers. He revealed that the program is designed to briefly introduce participants to the key principles of the Comprehensive National Strength of a country, which will help them understand the whole-of-government approach and provide independent opinions. He stressed the “need to re-evaluate the IAF’s strategic priorities” and reorganize actions to ensure that service is not left behind.
VR Air Force Chief Chaudhari congratulated the participants and urged them to convert the knowledge gained into actionable strategies, and remember that their thinking is more than just a resource for inter-related strategies. air power but also contribute to the formulation of coherent national and military strategies. He also emphasized the fact that although a well-crafted strategy may not guarantee success, without a coherent and sustainable strategy will inevitably lead to failure.
Workshop participants presented presentations on contemporary topics related to the application of air power in recent conflicts and changing doctrines aimed at establishing a dominant role. of air power in national security. The workshop also included the release of a revised version of the IAF Doctrine.
