The Mummy Demastered – Has a better game ever come from a worse movie?
It’s as simple a plot as you might hope for in a hybrid video game, but there are a few interesting twists and turns to keep players engaged. If you die in the game, you’ll respawn as another soldier, but your old protagonist’s body will be restored, forcing you to take down a zombified version of your former self to get the items. important is left behind. This mechanic is then explored further in the game’s ending, with up to three possible conclusions depending on your performance, with a special epilogue that will be unlocked if you get through the whole thing. game without dying once.

Get inspired by things like Opposite, Castlevaniaand Ghosts ‘n Ghouls, The Mummy Demastered is a pixel art Metroidvania in which you navigate through a maze environment teeming with undead beasts. You’ll encounter locked passages that will then open up entirely new areas as you find the keys or items needed to continue.

Looking forward to playing a running simulator starring Tom Cruise? Think. Looking forward to some funny cutscenes featuring spooky Jake Johnson? Well, you won’t get it here, mate. We think some people might be baffled by the idea of a game based on such a horrible movie, and in some respects we wouldn’t be surprised if the connection between the two owners actions that undermined the success of The Mummy Demastered. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz movie destroyed? Heck, that will draw the crowd! Tom Cruise one? Erm, nah, you’re fine.
However, if you’re a fan of Metroidvanias and still haven’t played WayForward’s The Mummy, do yourself a favor and download it ASAP! It’s thrilling and engaging to the same extent, and it’s just as good now as it was five years ago; In short, it’s everything the movie doesn’t have.
