The next Big Gotham Knights patch will aim to improve console and PC performance

A week after launch, Gotham Knights developer Warner Bros. Montreal has released a new update for the game to improve performance issues on PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X patches | S coming soon. This is a small patch, but a more significant update will follow it as the studio looks to add the “mixture of essential fixes that have appeared since launch” to the game, especially frame rate stability on the console.

“The team is working hard on a larger patch to improve overall performance and give you the best experience possible,” the developer tweeted. “For console users, we specifically aim to address challenges with frame rate stability.”

As for the PC patch, issues related to UI errors, graphics settings not being applied properly, and various hard bugs have been fixed. The special STAR Labs mission has suffered from a number of game-breaking bugs, some of which have also surfaced during the fight with Harley Quinn’s boss on the Gotham hospital level. Gotham Knights has received mixed reviews since its launch, with the game’s loot system, graphics and 30fps hard lock on the current generation console is being criticized. “Gotham Knights took the Arkham blueprints and reimagined it as a looter, often feeling the same, but different in that it was worse,” wrote Mark Delaney in GameSpot’s Review of Knights of Gotham. “While the new Guardian is priced well from a narrative standpoint, the gameplay system built to service their 30-hour campaign to win back Gotham has let the team down.”

If you can consider these flaws, there’s still a solid sandbox adventure to play here. For starters, you can check out features like Gotham Knights Tips for Beginners and How the Gotham Knights co-op works.
