The Room’s Tommy Wiseau Returns With New Bad Movie Big Shark

Since the late 2000s, Tommy Wiseau’s forgotten film Room has occupied a special place in the hearts of fans of cult movies, as a midnight movies, collective interactive theater experience, and conversation starters like no other. The sheer extreme of the film — the humorous reading of the dialogue, the puzzling plot, the offensive sex scenes — propelled the film to such notoriety that the story behind its birth ended up being became an Oscar-nominated filmand one of the best movie 2017. Wiseau has spent a surprisingly large proportion of the last 15 or so years on touring behind the film’s many ironic public screenings, in between create dramaappeared as a guest on television and film, and pursued many small projects ranging from music videos to make a short about Homeless in America.

But he never made a second movie — until now. At least, it looks like he made a movie. Trailer for his upcoming project great shark debuted on Thursday, in its first online appearance after doing rounds at Room mat. The thing is, the trailer is about 50% a movie trailer and 50% a stylized black and white ad for the (very real) Tommy Wiseau lingerie line. TW underwear — or, as the logo’s name suggests, TWUNDERWEAR.

Diary of the film, according to the movie’s YouTube listing: “Three firefighters /George, Patrick & Tim) must save New Orleans from a giant shark. Can New Orleans survive?” That doesn’t necessarily explain why half of the movie’s trailer focuses on boxing, with an almost invisible flame, the less people fight it. The boxers are also apparently named Jimmy and Tommy, which suggests they aren’t even the subject of the movie. Also, there’s a big CGI shark getting slapped in the middle of it all, darting into the middle of the street in what looks like a lost scene from shark.

And then the whole thing suddenly turned to a TWUNDERWEAR commercial in which multiple topless men hurl basketballs in slow motion, when Wiseau herself, in a particularly eerie Andy Warhol-style wig, came to repeat “love is blind”. What does love have to do with men’s underwear, slo-mo basketball, or the giant shark that threatens New Orleans? Can also ask why is there spoon art on a random wall in Room, or why Philip Haldiman’s character Denny eats an apple in the movie so vividly. Some things can only be explained by Tommy Wiseau’s logic.

It will take the audience a while to figure out how it all fits together great shark there are more clear shots of Wiseau’s bare and twisted butt, and whether great shark destined to be a Room– interactive viewing experience levels. Diverse said movie will premiere in Portland, Oregon on April 2with an eight-month tour of the United States, one city at a time.
