The US Department of Justice is said to be in the early stages of drafting an antitrust complaint against Apple. The Justice Department has yet to decide whether to sue the US tech giant. The lawsuit is expected to be filed later this year. An extensive investigation into major digital technology companies into whether they engaged in anticompetitive practices was opened by the Justice Department in 2019 and Google was subsequently sued in October. 10, 2020.

According to a recent report by Politico, the US Department of Justice is in the early stages of drafting a potential antitrust complaint against the US tech giant, Apple. Citing a person with direct knowledge of the matter, the report added that the department’s antitrust division hopes to file a lawsuit by the end of the year.

The US Department of Justice has yet to decide whether to sue Apple.

In July 2019, the US Department of Justice stated that opening an extensive investigation of major digital technology companies into whether they engage in anticompetitive practices.

After that, Google has to sue by the Department of Justice in October 2020. The US$1 trillion (approximately 79,95,900 crore) US tech giant has been accused of illegally using its market engine to thwart rivals.
