The US Treasury’s Financial Stability Oversight Council held an unscheduled, closed-door meeting



The most powerful U.S. financial regulators gathered on March 24 by videoconference for an unscheduled, closed-door meeting of the Treasury Department’s Financial Stability Oversight Committee (FSOC) . announced in a statement. Finance Minister Janet Yellen convened the meeting.

Details were scant in the Treasury Department statement, but it did say staff from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York gave a presentation on market developments. The gist of the presentation was reassurance:
