The video shows moments before a carjacking victim was run over by her own car and a neighbor rushed in to help Saturday in north Baltimore. Beech Avenue police in Wyman Park.City said the victim, Chelsea Nicolette, kept her starter car but brought the keys for delivery. That’s when the man jumped in and realized he couldn’t get far without the key. So he turned around, hit Nicolette with his car and snatched the key from her belt. She also broke her pelvis, shoulder, ribs, and part of her collapsed lung. Ring’s neighbor’s camera showed a video of the car speeding up as someone stepped out onto the street. The video shows no impact, but it does show the driver getting out of the car, grabbing something and driving away. Moments later, video footage shows neighbors running to help. Barbara Rosenthal, a neighbor, told 11 News that the sound of the collision woke her up. Then she went outside and saw Nicolette lying on the street and called 911. “She was right there in the gutter, lying next to the storm drain, curling up and saying, ‘Help me, help me. Someone, please help me. Rosenthal said. Rosenthal said she was with Nicolette. She looked terrified and in pain,” Rosenthal said. A man robbed Nicolette while she was delivering packages to Amazon. “It doesn’t happen often now, that’s why. why I think people are worried.” Residents are rallying together, calling for something to be done. City police say a single mother, who delivers goods to Amazon, has robbed and then hit by her own car on Beech Avenue in Wyman Park.
City police said the victim, Chelsea Nicolette, kept her starter car but brought the keys for delivery. That’s when the man jumped in and realized he couldn’t get far without the key. So he turned around, hit Nicolette with his car and snatched the key from her belt.
Nicolette underwent surgery on Monday to correct her hip. She also broke her pelvis, shoulder, ribs and partially collapsed lung.

Rosenthal says she was with Nicolette.
“I was so scared for her. She looked so scared and in pain,” Rosenthal said.
Rosenthal said she didn’t know exactly what was going on at the time, but later learned a man had broken into Nicolette while she was delivering packages to Amazon.
Simon Torres, president of the Wyman Park Community Association, said residents are concerned after this and several other recent carjackings.
“We live in the city. We know this happens, but having it happen so close to home is worrying,” Torres said. “It doesn’t happen often now, that’s why I think people are worried.”
Residents are rallying together, calling for something to be done.
“It seems like a stereotype, and it’s disturbing,” said resident Rachel Brocheo.
“We all need to up our game, up the way we communicate with each other and with our neighbors, with law enforcement, with our elected officials. Now is not the time. time to bury your head in the sand,” Torres said.
