For the longest time, I thought I wasn’t Jeans kind of girl. It’s crazy, I know. But for most of my life, the only jeans I’ve come across are the ones that stretch a lot like leggings or worse, so thin that they reveal all that lies underneath. While some of those styles are comfortable as hell, they don’t work for me. So I lost my faith in denim fabric entirely for a while, replacing it with trousers and skirts. However, one day I picked up a pair of classic jeans and quickly became obsessed with their rigidity and shape. These are jeans that help keep everything in place and keep their shape throughout the day. Oh, and they fit so well, so well.
I thought it would be impossible to find the same vintage-inspired material shopping brand, but I was wrong. It took a lot of searching far and wide, but I eventually narrowed down to six of the only denim brands I trust for sturdy jeans. It’s all about fabric breakdown, so check those labels. One hundred percent cotton (aka no stretch) is like the gold denim in my book, but I’ve also noticed that anything 95% cotton makes up the cut. I also always buy the right size, as jeans with a high cotton content are almost guaranteed to stretch and show up on your body after a few wears.
