These days, Katie Holmes has the final say
Another project she developed, a film adaptation of the novel by Kathleen Tessaro Rare objectwill be released in the spring of 2023. Both seasons were filmed entirely during the pandemic at different stages as it entered our world. “It was really exhilarating,” Holmes said of being in a position of control in such a helpless time. “Having the ability to play a scene and be able to say, ‘Oh, let’s change this line,’ or ‘Say that’ or ‘Try this,’ which is great because I already know the date, so I know. what we have to achieve. So it’s like, Okay, I think we can take some time to work this out a bit, or No, we don’t need it [waste] time [doing] that’s it now. “After regularly pursuing a director’s ideas, finally getting the chance to step behind the camera and make decisions, both big and small, is an exciting challenge. “Some days it was great, and some days I messed up,” she said. “But I think it’s something that the more you do, the more you learn.”
At the same time, Holmes recognized the importance of being flexible with her vision and knew that in some cases she would need to give up her powers. “I am in a position of control, and that is something that I respect. That being said, the process is really something more than everyone involved in a very right way because there are so many parts that have to come together,” she said. “Now you have to be responsible for saying yes, no, yes, no, and this is the vision I want. But I also depend on people.” Without that partnership, her dream for the project would never have come true. Sure, it won’t turn out to be the best version of itself. “I always tell people, ‘Read this, and if it inspires you, I want you to do it. If not, I’m fine. But if there is, then bring them all. ‘ That way we can be completely in it,” she said. “We’re all trying to make the best movie, and we’re partners in some way.” So while, yes, her words To be the last one, it will never be the only one heard.
