Thieves posing as workers to break into a home in Sugar Land, police say


SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) – Sugar Land police are hunting two men they believe to be workers and broke into a home Thursday.

At about 7 p.m., a witness called police after seeing people wearing reflective vests enter the backyard of a home on the 6200 block of Falls Ridge Courthouse and attempt to enter, investigators said. said.

Police said the suspects stole cash and other personal items from the home.

Surveillance video shows a silver, four-door Chevrolet sedan with darkened windows that police believe is a getaway vehicle.

Yalanda Quenett is new to the area, and she is also a mother.

She says she’s always on the lookout for anything that seems out of balance.

Last weekend, Quenett said she saw a car that matched the description of a neighborhood car.

“To pull over to the side of the road. Constantly turning around and driving slowly past houses. That made me a little suspicious,” said Quenett.

Sugar Land Police and neighbors are now monitoring information that could help identify and apprehend suspects. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS.
