This is PT running on unmodified PS5
Hideo Kojima PT’s Silent Hills experiment has largely been unavailable on current-gen consoles for a few years now, but video game modders Lance McDonald managed to get the spooky survival-horror game running on the regular PS5. The trick here is that for PT to run on an unmodified PS5, McDonald’s needs a second PS5 that has gone through the jailbreak process.
In a new video, McDonald’s shows how the process works. You will need to own PT on your PlayStation account, sign in to your account on PS5 jailbrokenand download the game through that system. Copy it to a USB drive, plug that USB into your regular PS5, and you’re good to go. It’s actually pretty easy to do, if you have a spare modified PS5 lying around. As a reminder, doing any of these is a violation of Sony’s terms of service, so you do so at your own risk.
I’m streaming on twitch while playing PT on PS5. Konami specifically told PlayStation to mark PT as “incompatible” with PlayStation 5 to prevent this precisely. let’s find out together how “incompatible” it really is and I’ll explain how I did this NOW -> https://t.co/qDYEQN4VLs pic.twitter.com/8749UoOe34
