This spiced sweet potato cake is a snack to enjoy during the fall and winter days with hot tea or a cup of coffee. This naturally dairy-free cake comes to life when paired with a creamy cheese icing. If you also want to make milk without foam, be aware that you may have to refrigerate it after whipping, as plant-based cream cheeses tend to be much softer than regular cheeses. You can make the dough with baked pumpkin or canned pumpkin puree instead of sweet potatoes.
