Time-lapse video shows Iceland glacier shrink

Time-lapse footage has captured the fast price at which centuries-old ice from a glacier in Iceland is melting.

The Breiðamerkurjökull glacier is positioned in Vatnajökull Nationwide Park, about 236 miles (380km) from the nation’s capital, Reykjavik.

The video was filmed over a six-week interval by Dr Kieran Baxter of Dundee College, who estimates “possibly a number of tens of metres of recession” occurred throughout this time.
