Tom Brady chats with HS basketball players after group messages accidentally go to the Buccaneers locker room
A Michigan freshman boys’ basketball team made an irresistible error that resulted in an unforgettable memory.
After practice on November 24, the 14-member team at Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy in Pontiac were tasked with setting up a group chat. However, there is a confusion with the last player’s phone number added; Suddenly, the other 13 players had Sean Murphy-Bunting, the Buccaneers cornerback in the chat instead of their teammate.
The wrong number eventually led to conversations with Bunting, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, Richard Sherman, Leonard Fournette – and Tom Brady.
“This is Sean. Do you know who I am?” Murphy-Bunting, college player at Central Michigan, initially responded, according to a tweet from P. Jason Whalen, the parent of one of the team members. He then submitted a photo of himself in the Buccaneers locker room to prove his identity.
The boys said like “yes, if this is XXXX.” The guy replied, “No, this is Sean. Do you know who I am?” Of course they thought it was their teammates messing with them. After a few back and forth, the guy said “this is it @seanbunting_ “And he sent a selfie in the Bucs dressing room… pic.twitter.com/qdrbTzE0Fo

Some guys still couldn’t believe they were texting with Murphy-Bunting, so he decided to do a FaceTime call. According to another tweet from Whalen, Murphy-Bunting gave the phone to Fournette, who gave the team a tour of the dressing room and introduced them to Gronkowski, Evans and Sherman.
