TOPSHOP Curve and TOPMAN Expand Size Now Available!
As the editor of The Curvy Fashionista, we write about the things we love and we think you will, too. We often have affiliate partnerships, so we may receive a portion of the revenue from your purchase.
TOPSHOP is entering plus size? Oh yes! TOPSHOP curve (plus size line) does exist, thanks to ASOS. Last year, ASOS acquired the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands and this news was announced recently (September 29) as part of their international growth strategy through a partnership with Nordstrom in the US.
We are also curious about this surprise! We not only get plus size options but also Large & Tall options. The first time we saw TOPSHOP The curve on Nordstrom like we’re looking for statement plus jacket size for the fall to share with you.
We had to contact the TOPSHOP and ASOS team to make sure we understood what was going on here. Because this is curious! Especially as plus size brands from the UK have regressed from plus size fashion in the US over the past few years. (we miss you, Simply and Evans).
“TOPSHOP and TOPMAN are truly iconic British brands and it is a privilege to take on the management of such a beloved organization. Over the past 18 months, we’ve done some incredible work, learning from the past and each other to create something exciting and relevant for the future. We are very proud to share our new vision with the world, but this is only the first step of the journey. There is still a lot of work to be done and a lot of interesting ideas that we want to explore.”
Nikki Tattersall, Director of TOPSHOP and TOPMAN
For this new chapter for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN, we get an updated logo, ASOS landing page, and new sizing options. Although at first glance limited in options, TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will continue to introduce inclusive sizes through the Curve line. (plus sizes available in UK sizes 18-28) as well as implementing plans to build their Maternity, Tall and Small collections.
With this acquisition, ASOS has transformed TOPSHOP and TOPMAN into a top priority digital business to align with ASOS ethos and values. But here in the US, TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will also be available at 106 Nordstrom stores, as part of their brand expansion strategy.
Will this expansion include additional sizes in Nordstrom stores? We hope so…
You can buy discounted TOPSHOP Curve plus size jackets and jeans in advance, at ASOS.com!
We can soon expect a dedicated Curve section on the site that also introduces more model variety, similar to what ASOS has brought us over the past few seasons. We hope that they also consider editorial inclusion.
This is all about having options in plus size fashion and with this news hopefully this extension becomes as official as the ASOS Curve – don’t overlook the tailored style TOPSHOP is known for!
What do you think about this news? Does this excite you?
Are you on the fence? Are you looking forward to seeing what else from this TOPSHOP Curve collection?
