Toronto police investigating hate-motivated assault on TTC streetcar – Toronto

Toronto police say they’re looking for a girl needed in reference to a hate-motivated assault aboard of TTC avenue automobile in late September.

Police allege {that a} 28-year-old man was on the 510 avenue automobile going northbound from Bremner Boulevard and Spadina Avenue at round 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 when a gaggle boarded.

Investigators mentioned a girl within the group started to utter racial slurs towards the person earlier than she spat on him twice. She then coated her face with a gray blanket to cover her id and exited the automobile within the space of Queen Avenue West and Spadina Avenue.

The lady is described as being five-foot-six and 175 lbs. On the time of the incident, she was sporting a gray sweater, black leggings and gray boots.

“There have been numerous individuals who witnessed the assault. Investigators want to communicate with anybody who might have extra data or identified the id of the lady,” police mentioned in a launch.
