Totally Clear Given After New Grenades in Bomb Squadron Response Baggage Near MIA – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Toy grenades discovered in some baggage in the cargo area of Miami International Airport have resulted in a large police presence including a bomb response team.
Suspicious items, initially believed to be two hand grenades, were found inside the luggage of a warehouse at 6650 NW 22 Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
After several hours, Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue said nothing serious was found.
What they thought were grenades was actually “non-military novelty.”
