Toyota Kluger recalled | CarExpert
Toyota Australia remembering about 5400 examples its Kluger Large SUV to fix problems with front and rear seat frames.
This recall affects current, fourth generation Kluger car models produced from March 4 to June 16, 2021.
The company said in the recall notice: “Participating vehicles are equipped with front seats constructed with certain seat back frames.
“Due to the wear and tear of the manufacturing tool used to shape the chair frame and the lack of sufficient test guides, certain points on the backrest frame were not manufactured with the minimum radius criteria. ”
“Therefore, these seat back frames are not ECE UNR17 compliant.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to book in advance at a Toyota dealer for a free backframe modification for the driver and front passenger.
Toyota expects the job to take about two hours, but this depends on the dealer’s work schedule.
