Tracy Morgan Recalls How Daughter Inspired Him to “Fight” After Crash
Tracy Morgan is counting his blessings, particularly these closest to his coronary heart.
Again in June 2014, the comic was concerned in a near-fatal accident when a Walmart tractor-trailer struck Morgan’s minibus from behind on the New Jersey Turnpike. Now, the 30 Rock alum is reflecting on how grateful he’s for his household, and notably his 8-year-old daughter, Maven.
“She’s very near me,” the actor defined throughout the Nov. 2 episode of Today. “We’re very shut. That is my child.” Referring to Maven’s upcoming visitor look on her dad’s TBS sitcom, The Final O.G., Morgan added, “She’s my best costar ever. Ever.”
The 52-year-old actor grew to become emotional as he recalled the accident. “She was 10 months outdated after I received hit by the truck,” he defined about Maven. “Folks do not simply come out of comas—I needed to battle. I knew I needed to be right here for her. I wished to see my daughter. I’ve at all times wished a daughter. I’ve a feminine model of me, and I am her day-after-day as she grows beneath my gaze. And I really like her.”
