Jodie Foster will return to TV with True Detective season 4, according to Hollywood Reporter. The actress who will lead the fourth season of the anthology series – called Country at night – as Detective Liz Danvers.
Not much is known about True Detective season 4 outside of Foster’s casting and a short plot synopsis. The film will follow Danvers and another detective, Evangeline Navarro, as they investigate the cases of six Arctic researchers who went missing in Ennis, Alaska and “dig deep into the haunting truth that lies beneath the permafrost. cue.”
For her role in the new season, Foster will receive executive producer credit. The script will come from Issa Lopez (Tiger is not afraid) and Alan Page Arriaga (Fear the Walking Dead). Lopez will also direct the season’s opening episode, as well as several other episodes throughout the series. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson – who starred True Detectivefirst season – also executive producer.
True DetectiveThe fourth season of the series is still in early development although as the Hollywood Reporter points out, Foster’s involvement almost guarantees that the project will avoid being cancelled. There’s no release window for the season yet, but fans should expect to hear more next year.
