NORWICH, CT (WFSB) – Two state soldiers suffered minor injuries after arresting a man walking on 15th Street.
Police respond to Bogdan-Daniel Popa walking on the route.
When they arrived, they found Popa crouching behind a concrete fence over her right shoulder.
The officers tried to talk to Popa.
He jumped out from behind the fence and ran across the northbound lanes.
The police were ready to stop Popa, but a scuffle ensued.
The police assigned the task to Popa.
With help from the passing driver, the soldiers were finally able to gain control and arrest the man.
Both soldiers present at the scene suffered minor lacerations to their hands and faces.
Popa was charged with Pedestrian Unlawful Use of a Highway, Obstructing Police, and Assaulting a Public Safety Officer.
