Late last year, Ubisoft surprised RTS city-building enthusiasts when it announced The Settlers would return in 2023.
new title Settlers: New Allies is out today on other platform, and as part of this, Ubisoft has now confirmed the Switch release date – with the game now locked in March 23, 2023. Pre-orders will be available on March 15, 2023. Here’s a bit more about it, direct from PR:
“Developed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, The Settlers®: New Allies is a modern take on the longstanding The Settlers franchise, combining complex infrastructure and economic gameplay with tactical real-time battles. Starting with a small group of Settlers, the player must explore their surroundings, build settlements, and optimize resource production to recruit new settlers and an army that can protect defend their land. Researching economic and military upgrades is very important to create a strong army and overcome opponents.”
Players can also look forward to a story-driven campaign, multiplayer modes (PvE, PvP) and “heavy mode” to seriously test their skills.
