Original article [Mon 20th Jun, 2022 16:15 BST]: Free roller skating games to play Roller Champion launched on Sony and Microsoft consoles last month without any updates on the Switch version. However, it doesn’t look like we need to wait wrongly to get the demise, as the game’s eShop listing has been updated with the release date.

This futuristic multiplayer game sees skaters take to the arenas to beat it at 100 mph, and you’ll be able to skate it with others from tomorrow. UK eShop listings. That’s right, Roller Champions comes out on June 21.

Ubisoft has yet to make an official announcement, but we’ll be watching to see if this actually drops tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s an overview of the game from Nintendo’s list:

Skate, tackle and roll your way to glory in Roller Champions™. Discover a free-to-play team PvP sports game like no other!

Welcome to 2032. Arenas are built around the world and fans flock to the stands to see their modern-day hero, the Roller Champion. They roll up to 100 miles per hour, tackle opponents, slide walls and do somersaults while thousands of fans shout their names.

As a Roller Champion, compete in a three-on-three team. The rules are simple: get the ball, make a round while maintaining possession of the teammate, dodge the opponent and score. Go for extra points by completing additional rounds before trying to hit the target. After each match, attract fans to compete in bigger arenas. Customize your character and create a unique destiny.

Our friends at Push Square shared their thoughts on the game back when it launched on PS4 last month and had this to say:

This game has absolutely the potential to be great, as its central sport is already well realized and most of the games work smoothly. The game just feels a bit sparse, like it was pushed out before it was really ready

Hopefully now a little more to learn that Roller Champions have been in the arena for a month. And if the game goes down tomorrow, that means it will compete with another free-to-play launch launching on Switch on the same day – Autumn boys. However, the pace and premise alone kept us entertained.

Check out the gameplay overview trailer below and let us know if you’ll be downloading the game on Switch!
