UFC’s Dana White admits to hitting his wife in public
The best way to avoid apologizing when hitting a woman is to never do it in the first place. Guess that never passed The Brain of UFC President Dana White on New Year’s Eve, when he was seen having an altercation with his wife, Anna, at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Witnesses told TMZreleased footage of the incident, stating that the couple had an argument before Anna slapped White first, to which White responded by slapping his wife and trying to hit her a few more times when the duo needed to separate.
White spoke to TMZ about him and Anna slapping each other, admitting they both drank a lot, as if that was an excuse for the horrible behavior. As for White, he didn’t hide from the situation or pretend it wasn’t a big deal. That’s still despicable, but he cleaned up by telling TMZ, “You’ve heard me say for years, ‘There’s never been a reason for a man to lay his hand on a woman’. and now I’m here on TMZ talking about it.” White added: “My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have known each other since we were almost 12 years old. Obviously we’ve been through some terrible things together and we have three kids, and this is one of those horrible situations.”
Both White and his wife spoke to TMZ
Anna also spoke to TMZ and stated: “To say this doesn’t fit his personality is an understatement – this has never happened before. Unfortunately, we both drank too much on New Year’s Eve and things got out of hand for both of us. We talked about this as a family and apologized to each other.”

The UFC is unapologetically the world’s top fighting sports league. Without first-class athletes trying to punch, kick, wrestle and subdue their opponents, there’s no point in seeing anything inside The Octagon. The sport has certainly had a domestic violence problem for many years. Instead of being the decision maker about how his boxers are punished for laying hands on a woman, White is now in the midst of his defenseless actions. Will the president of any other major sports organization still be employed if they are caught beating their spouse?
White himself has alluded to a zero-tolerance policy towards his fighters when it comes to domestic violence. Apologizing to your spouse is nice and dandy, but will White suffer the same consequences he says will happen when hitting a woman? Sure is not. And that’s the way powerful people stay away with terrible things.
