Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets killed in Russian missile attack – The Hollywood Reporter
Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets, a famous theater and film artist, was killed in a Russian missile attack on a residential building in Kyiv, according to her troupe, Youth Theatre. According to media reports, she was 67 years old.
“During the rocket shelling of a residential building in Kyiv,” the Youth Theater statement read, “a well-deserved Ukrainian artist Oksana Shvets was killed.” The troupe expressed “irreparable grief” over Shvets’ death.
The comment “artist worthy” is a reference to Shvets’ achievements. A veteran of stage and screen for decades in Ukraine, she was awarded one of Ukraine’s highest artistic honors, which roughly translates to “Honored Artist of Ukraine.” or, slightly less artistically, “Artist Expected”.
English language Kyiv Post also confirmed her death, saying she was “murdered in Kyiv during the war.”

It is known that, born on February 10, 1955, Shvets graduated from the studio at the Ivan Franko Theater and the Kiev State Academy of Dramatic Art. In addition to her work at Youth Theatre, Shvets performed with the Ternopil Theater of Music and Drama and the Kiev satirical theater.
The death toll is on the rise in Ukraine as Russia ramps up its shelling of major cities, including the capital, Kyiv. Earlier this week, Fox News cinematographer Pierre Zakrzewski and local auto mechanic Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova were killed when their car caught on fire.
