WASHINGTON (Reuters) – United Airlines said on Wednesday that it expects to carry 5.5 million passengers during Thanksgiving travel, up about 12% from 2021.
American airlines will operate an average of more than 3,700 flights per day between November 18-30. United forecasts it will carry the same number of holiday passengers as it did before the pandemic in 2019.
United also predicts November 27 – the Sunday after Thanksgiving – will be its busiest travel day since pre-pandemic with more than 460,000 passengers.
