US COVID-19 cases increase as summer begins
In the United States, the seven-day average for Covid-19 cases is six times higher than it was a year ago, according to a report in The Hill.
On Saturday, the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center reported a seven-day average of 119,725 cases of Covid-19.

According to the report, that number was 17,887 cases as of May 28, 2021.
Experts believe the true number of cases is much higher because many cases are underreported due to at-home Covid-19 tests, Xinhua news agency reported.
