Valve ‘boosts’ Steam Deck orders in Q2
Shipment for Valve’s new handheld console, steam deck, has been trickling since its release, but shipments are about to accelerate. The company began “intensifying” the finishing touches on the dashboard on Monday, according to a Tweet from Valveand those who have pre-ordered the console will receive more emails about order availability weekly.
When the Steam Deck launches, those interested in purchasing the console can do so through the pre-order system. Depending on how quick you are, you may already have an order scheduled for Q1, Q2, Q3 or “after Q3”. Since then, Valve has shipped purchases in the order that customers ordered them weekly every quarter.
In addition to more orders, the company has further clarified when each quarter can expect their console. According to Valve’s update, Q2 starts on Monday and the current Q3 date is October 2022 or later. According to Valve, “no reservation window has been changed or delayed,” and the company is simply providing additional clarification on the timing of each quarter.
