Verve launches audio division with former ‘serial’ advisor as agent – The Hollywood Reporter

Verve Talent and Literary Agency is launching an audio division.

Joining the nascent division is Elise Bergerson, who previously served as head of business operations for hit podcasts like Serial and This American life. At Verve, Bergerson will develop and sell podcasts to agency clients and represent podcast companies, as well as continue her consulting work for podcasts and audio networks. Bergerson will be based in New York, working out of Verve’s new office when it opens next year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce the launch of Verve Audio and welcome Elise to the Verve team,” Verve partners said in a joint statement. “Elise has built a highly successful business consulting business in the dynamic podcasting landscape, and we are thrilled to see that business expand under the Verve banner, while focusing even greater energies into expanding customers’ reach into the audio space.”

Bergerson added: “I am extremely excited to be joining this amazing team at Verve. “Their customer-centric approach and out-of-the-box mindset couldn’t be more aligned with my values, and I’m eager to join.”

Current audio clients with Verve include Sarah Edmondson, a former NXIVM member who organizes A bit difficult podcast and Lee Metzger, producer who recently adapted Stephen King Spring Strawberry into sound production.
