Raeford, N.C – Two men were killed and a third injured Sunday in a shooting in Hoke County that the girlfriend of one of the killed men said was caused by an argument over a video game. .
The shooting happened on block 300 of Tonya Loop, in Triple J Mobile Home Park, in Raeford, shortly after 4pm
Lexter McNeill, 32, comes to the house to hang out with friends and play video games, his longtime girlfriend, Whitney Jacobs, said Monday.
But then someone there got angry and started shooting, Jacobs said.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office has not released any information about a possible motive, but it has charged Damien Taylor with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon. with intent to kill and cause serious injury. Jacobs said Taylor and McNeill are friends.

Carlton Barber, who has lived in the area for more than a year, said he wants the violence in his community to end.
