Vogue released a statement supporting Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after Kanye West called her out for her criticism of his t-shirt.
Earlier Kanye West Called Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Vogue’s Global Fashion Editor after he learned of the comments she made in response to his “White Lives Matter” t-shirt.
Vogue has since released a statement supporting Gabriella, clarify,
“Personally she has been targeted and bullied. It is unacceptable. More than ever, voices like hers are needed and in her one-on-one meeting with Ye today, she once again spoke her truth in the way that feels best to her. . “
Kanye also spoke out about his meeting with Gabriella. He said that they both apologized to each other for how they felt and that they both disagreed on some things.
He say,
“SHE STAYS THAT HER COMPANY DON’T INSTRUCTIONS HER TO TALK ABOUT MY T-SHIRT EXPERIENCE. WE DISCLOSURE EVERYONE THE WAY WE PERFORM EVERY DIFFERENT FEELING WE REALLY KNOW AND BOTH EXPERIENCE THE FIGHT FOR ACCEPTANCE IN A WORLD THAT IS NOT US. SHE SHARE I GIVEN WE GIVEN UP. “
Like before reported, Kanye West became the talk of the town after it was revealed that he debuted a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt during his YZY SZN 9 showcase in Paris. Candace Owens also shared photos of her and Ye banging his t-shirt, which added fuel to the fire.
Kanye faced backlash from celebrities like Jaden Smith and Boosie.
