Von Miller signs six-year, $120 million contract with Bills
The consensus before Wednesday was that freestyle passer Von Miller would choose between signing the Rams, with whom he had just won the Super Bowl, and the Broncos, with whom he played. his entire career until the end of last season.
Turns out, he didn’t sign either.
Miller agreed to a six-year deal with the Bills, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport Report. According to Rapoport, the deal is worth $120 million, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirms $45 million of that is fully guaranteed.
At Miller, Buffalo added a veteran passing talent who can still contribute at a high level to an already top-level team. The Bills ranked at the top of the NFL last season with an allowable yardage of 4,637, nearly 600 fewer than any other team. They have been forced into 11th place in the league in disarray, a division that Miller is sure to help with.
Last season, Miller started a year with the Broncos before being traded to the Rams mid-season. It turned out to be worthy of the picks package Los Angeles sent to Denver, as Miller was instrumental in helping the Rams win the Super Bowl. He played well during the regular season, then rose to success in the knockout stages, scoring four goals in four games, including two in the Super Bowl.
Buffalo will only be Miller’s third franchise, as he played his entire 11-year career with the Broncos until moving to the Rams. He’s picked up eight Pro Bowls during that time along with three first-team All-Pro and four second-team All-Pro nods.
