Famous Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot down by unknown attackers in Jawaharke village in Mansa district on Sunday, days after the state government revoked his security cover.
The attack took place in a residential area. Sidhu Moose Wala’s convoy was ambushed at a turn in the road. When the vehicles had to slow down to turn, the gunmen took advantage of this and blocked the male singer’s car.

Punjab Superintendent of Police VK Bhawra said the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala appeared to be the result of a rivalry between gangs. A three-member special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the incident.
The DGP added that 30 hollow shells were recovered and at least three weapons such as 9mm and 455 bore appear to have been used in the crime.
