Warriors’ Stephen Curry rejects Kevin Porter Jr.’s trash talk, calling it a ‘game’ post
Monday night’s game in Houston, where the Rockets host the Warriors, made the news for a variety of reasons.
First, it saw Curry’s first high scoring performance in over a month. Golden State’s superstar guard scored a game-high 40 in the team’s 122-108 win, and the second involved a moment in the third inning between Curry and opposing guard Kevin Porter Jr.

“Beef” by Stephen Curry and Kevin Porter Jr. what?
About 4 minutes into the third half, the young Rockets keeper was called up for a foul on Curry and he seemed displeased.
After sharing his displeasure with the official, Porter Jr stared down at Curry. He pulled up his shorts and crouched on the defensive as the duo waited for the game to resume.

He then even headed towards the Warriors’ bench after he hit a slam dunk before time ran out. However, the two-time former MVP doesn’t seem to add fuel to the fire, and just ignores any Porter Jr. antics.
That cover seemed to ignite Curry, who picked up 21 points in the fourth inning and ensured the Warriors left Toyota Center with the win.
Reaction after the game
After the final whistle, it became clear that none of the players had shown any emotion since that moment in the third half as they hugged and talked near the pitch.
Curry told reporters after the game: “I can do a good job separating the 48 minutes and everything else about ‘giving it back to the game’. “There’s been a lot of people doing it for me. He has a definite question about how I approach a certain part of the game. I want to give him what I know.”

While Curry plays it with a lot of dignity, the Rockets’ young keeper isn’t far behind when it comes to not accomplishing much.
“Actually, with 30 seconds left, I went to him and asked him for some suggestions,” Porter Jr. told reporters after the game. “As an MVP, let’s first agree, that’s someone I can learn from.”
“A player like that [Curry], you have to accept the challenge because at the end of the day it will make you better. No other way. It will be better for you because you are competing with him. “
He also made his stance clear on Twitter.

Safe to say, there was never any relationship between these two players throughout the game nor was there any rampant gameplay.
