Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar returned to RAW Monday night live television earlier this evening and appeared to have messed up his own ending to wrap up the show’s opening segment.
Beast Incarnate is in Texas to send a message to Roman Reigns, his rival at SummerSlam. After Theory, Otis and Chad Gable wanted to participate in the segment, he found two ready messengers at Alpha Academy.
After attacking both men with steel steps and a steel chair, Lesnar lifted Otis and handed an AA over the announcers’ desks. It is clear that this is supposed to be an F5 as the commenting team announced it as an F5 and WWE also shared a video of the move on their Twitter page.
However, this move ends up looking like an AA as Otis crashes through the announcer’s desk on his back and doesn’t get the required rotation.
You can watch the video below:
Normally, Lesnar’s move is close to AA but has a spin on it that allows the opponent to land in a flat linear position face down. With AA, created by John Cena, opponents will fall on their backs.
Otis likely couldn’t lift himself and get the spin he needed to turn this move into an F5.
Brock Lesnar faced Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam over the span of about two weeks
Lesnar will probably ignore this small mistake and focus on facing Roman Dynasties at SummerSlam on July 30.
The match has been billed as the last time that Lesnar and Reigns will clash and will be Man Standing’s final match for the WWE Universal No Dispute Championship. The two men faced each other for the last time at WrestleMania 38, where the Tribal Leader was victorious.
