A Remembrance Day ceremony is being held Thursday morning at Place du Canada in downtown Montreal.
Invited visitors are anticipated to reach round 10:30 p.m. with the official ceremony happening at 11 a.m. World Information will start livestreaming the occasion at 10:45 a.m.
Whereas the Place du Canada ceremony is the primary tribute in Montreal it is predicted to be smaller than earlier years, because it is not going to be open to the general public.
A number of streets within the downtown core have been closed off for the procession.
Different boroughs and municipalities throughout the island will even be observing Remembrance Day on their territories.
