[WATCH] Rajasthan Royals participate in training mode
Rajasthan Royals (RR) has started training for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season by introducing hard training ground.
Rajasthan will continue to be led by Sanju Samson in the upcoming IPL season. He is among the players the franchise is keeping ahead of the big Bengaluru auction. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the two remaining players to be retained.
On Sunday, RR’s official YouTube channel shared a video of their players going through intense training during practice. From Samson to Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer to Yuzvendra Chahal, all the big names were sweating.
Rajasthan’s YouTube channel shared the video with the caption:
“Yes, it’s that time of year again.”
Royals have struggled in IPL in recent years. The first champions have not made it to the knockout stages since 2018. In the last three seasons, they have finished in the bottom two teams.

According to West Indies smasher Shimron Hetmyer, the Rajasthan Royals could claim the title this year. The aggressive left-hander, who was purchased for Rs 8.5 crore at auction, said:
“Yes, I am very excited about the team we have this year. I believe there is great potential in the team to take the trophy home this year. “He added, ‘I’ve heard some really cool things about the franchise from my good friend, Evin Lewis, and I can’t wait to get started and just enjoy myself with as part of the team. ”
Regarding his role in the team, the 25-year-old says he is ready for any task, saying:
“I am available for any role the team needs me to play. It is imperative to do well as a player in the team. And my bottom line, as I’ve always believed, is to just give myself the chance to go out there, and the performance will come, whatever the situation of the game. ”
Rajasthan will kick off their 2022 IPL campaign with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at MCA Stadium in Pune on March 29.
