Watch the ‘panic’ Russian fall from the tank before it crashes into a tree during the humiliating retreat in Ukraine
THIS is the terrifying moment Russian troops fall from a speeding tank before it crashes into a tree during a humiliating retreat in Ukraine.
Drone footage shows several Kremlin soldiers plunging into an out-of-control tank in Kharkiv as Ukraine continues its 30-mile advance into Russian-occupied areas.
Moments after Vladimir Putin’s troops were thrown from the getaway vehicle, it was seen squirming in the street.
And the tank finally stopped by hitting a tree, knocking down the remaining soldiers.
The Ukrainian armed forces – who released the footage – appeared to mock the Russians for their oath: “We do not abandon our people”.
It comes after reports that Putin’s forces had suffered severe losses in Kharkiv – potentially turning the tide of the war.
Russian soldiers are said to have raised a white flag as they fled Ukraine’s blitzkrieg that had recaptured large swaths of territory.
The attacks destroyed the Kremlin’s lines and allowed Ukrainian troops to retake 30 towns in a key part of their country.
It allowed the heroes of President Volodymyr Zelensky to advance 30 miles south of Kharkiv.
The brave Ukrainian president said in a video address: “Our army, intelligence units and security services are carrying out active skirmishes in several areas of operation. They’re doing it successfully.”
“We are slowly taking control of the new settlements. We are returning the Ukrainian flag and protection to our citizens everywhere.”
In the face of great humiliation to Vladimir Putin, the Russian Defense Ministry admitted its troops were forced to withdraw from the key city of Izium in the face of the onslaught.
Tonight, Russia said troops had “regrouped” from the Balakliya and Izium regions and would be dispatched to intensify operations elsewhere.
The city is a major Russian fortress in northeastern Ukraine that it still holds and its defeat could mark a major turning point in the war.
However, there are still no confirmed reports that Ukraine has recaptured Izium.
Ukrainian troops also captured the city of Kupiansk further north, the sole railway hub supplying the entire Russian front line across the northeastern part of the country.
Ukrainian officials posted photos of their troops raising the country’s blue and yellow flags in front of the town hall in Kupiansk at dawn.
Zelensky’s men have recaptured dozens of Russian-held towns and villages in the months since striking the front lines earlier this week.
