In 2022, Vacheron will retire its fan-favorite 222 model. The 222 was part of a wave of luxury sport watches that initially emerged in the 70s, along with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus. Unlike those two pieces, it is not permanent, which only makes the watch much more popular (and more expensive) in auctions.
